GENEVA – Ada Jane Medley, 80, of Geneva, passed away unexpectedly on Friday (November 30, 2012) in Geneva General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home 181 N. Main St., on Sunday (December 2) from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday (December 3) in the funeral home with the Rev. W. James Gerling officiating. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Beverly Animal Shelter.
Ada was born in Geneva and resided in Missouri for many years returning to Geneva four months ago. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert H. and Olive Pauline Disbrow Travis. She recently joined the VFW Post # 2670 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda, Sandra, Sharon and Debbie all of Texas; her sisters, Faye (Frank) Seeley of Geneva and Mollie (William) Mesmer of Calif.; her brothers, James (Elvera) Travis of Michigan, William Travis of Seneca Falls and Thomas (Delnora) Travis of Waterloo; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her children, Shirley Ann Cook and Steven Cook; two brothers, Gilbert and Clifford Travis; and seven sisters, Luella Wilson, Pauline Visco, Christine Cain, Ruth Kinsman, Winifred Mayo, Frances Danielson and Rose Marie Brewer.
