HIMROD - M. Gordon Andersen, 88, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away at home on Tuesday (November 27, 2012).
Calling hours will be held at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main Street, Penn Yan on Saturday (December 1) from 11 to 1 p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. Internment will follow at City Hill Cemetery followed by a gathering of family and friends at the Himrod Firehouse, 3530 Himrod Road, Himrod, N.Y.

Gordon was born November 8, 1924 to Glen and Ellen Andersen. He was a lifelong successful dairy farmer; a member of the Danish Brotherhood, the Milo Center United Methodist Church and the Himrod Fire Department where he took pride in later years serving as Fire Police. Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing, family gatherings and his wife's good cooking. The love for his family was always evident by his smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Jennine; children, Kathie (the late Eugene) Spanganberg, Mark (Ramona) Andersen, Carol (Bob) Clough and David (Susan) Andersen; grandchildren, Christopher Andersen, Paul Converse, Lisa and Linda Clough, Kristen, Heather, Kayla, Morgan Andersen; sisters, June Paulsen and Betty (Sherlin) Bush; brother, Glenn (Elaine) Andersen; sister-in-laws, Pat Anderson, Marlene Hunt and Margaret Henderson as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
