Carl Chauncey Hubbard CANANDAIGUA - Carl Chauncey Hubbard, age 83, peacefully passed away on Nov. 27, 2012, in Zephyrhills, Fla. Friends may attend the viewing on Saturday, December 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 E. Main St. , Gorham. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A short graveside service will be held at noon at Sand Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gulf Side Regional Hospice Care Center, 5760 Dean Dairy Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541; www.grhospice.org Carl served in the U.S. Army during 1948 and 1949 in the 9th Artillery Division at Camp Kilmer, N.J. He attained the rank of specialist first class before receiving an honorable discharge. Carl was known as "Hub" to most of his friends. He retired as a thoroughbred horse trainer and from his horse tack business 20 years ago. His business was very active at Finger Lakes Race Track in Canandaigua, Hialeah Race Track in Hialeah, Fla., Gulf Stream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., and Tampa Bay Downs in Tampa, Fla. He was married to Onnolee Ross (nee Hopkins ) in 2004 in Las Vegas, Nev. They resided in Canandaigua in the summer and in Zephyrhills in the winter. Carl leaves his wife, Onnolee Hubbard; and his son, Ronald Hubbard. He also leaves his step-children, Jud and Patricia Ransom, Karl and Linda Albrecht, Linda Lockhart, Freddie Albrecht, William and Nancy Bortel and David and Judy Houston. He also had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
