SYRACUSE | Craig “Lou� Doan, 69, of the village of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Auburn, he lived in the Sennett/ Weedsport area as a young boy. For the past 30 years, he resided in Camillus. Lou was a graduate of Weedsport High School and Auburn Community College. He was formerly employed by GTE Sylvania for 10 years and also by Agway. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed the Yankees, bowling and fantasy football. Lou was predeceased by his father, Benjamin Doan and brothers, Reid and Benjamin Doan Jr. Surviving are Betty and Michele Van Gelder, both of Camillus; mother, Mary Doan, of Auburn; brother, Richard (Melinda) Doan, of Auburn; nephews, Michael (Michele) Rether, of Camillus, Richard (Kim) Doan, of Auburn, Craig (Joy) Doan, of Baldwinsville; niece, Michelle Doan, of Las Vegas, Nev.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley and Morgan Rether, Griffin and Ella Doan, and Mason and Reagan Doan. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Camillus First United Methodist Church. Lou will be laid to rest in Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
