WATERLOO - Jackie Deisering, 84, lost her battle with cancer, Saturday, (November 24, 2012) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic.
Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, November 28 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church. Burial will follow in the East Newark Cemetery.
Jackie's family request memorial contribution be directed to FLHO Patient Assistance Fund at Clifton Springs Hospital, 2 Coulter Rd., Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
Jackie was born on October 1, 1928 in Weedsport. She was a 1947 graduate of Weedsport High School. Jackie worked as a therapies Aide for Newark Developmental Hospital until her retirement in 1993.
She was a member of the American Miniature Horse Association. As a member she showed mini Horses in both the local and state fairs. She will be remembered as a person with good sportsmanship, even if she came in last place she was excited for the opportunity to show off her horses. Jackie will be remembered for her big smile and her golden heart; she touched so many lives and expected little in return.
Jackie leaves behind her only daughter, Suzanne (Rodger) Head; sons, Dennis (Roxanne), Earl Keith (Shelia) Smith; her dog, bear bear; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; hundreds of friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Deisering.
