RHINEBECK | Frances Sue Damick Cauldwell, 65, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at Northern Dutchess Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Cauldwell was the wife of James P. Cauldwell of Red Hook, N.Y. She was the daughter of Margaret Leonti Damick of Auburn and the late Joseph Damick. Surviving beside her husband, James, are a brother; Peter and (Karen) Damick, of Auburn; sisters, Rosanne and (Richard) Taubold, of Rochester and Nancy Atkinson, of Auburn; several nieces, nephews and friends. She attended St. Francis School in Auburn and graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Auburn in 1965. Mrs. Cauldwell retired in 2005 from Hudson River State Hospital as a head nurse of the psychiatric unit after 35 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kingston. Fran had not experienced the joy of being a mother but she loved all children who were fortunate enough to share her life. She also loved animals especially Molly and Fred. She was a dear and giving friend to all the lives that she touched. Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston www.jvleahyfh.com Friends will be received at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday Nov. 26. The funeral procession will form at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A service of the burial of the dead will be held at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
