Cynthia was born July 22, 1946 in Bernardsville, N.J., the daughter of the
late George R. and Jane E. Thatcher Hill. She attended Rutgers University in N.J. where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Most recently Cindy continued her love of learning by attending Asbury Theological Seminary where she was pursuing her Masters Degree in
Theology. She has lived locally since 1987, moving from Bellmawr, N.J. to Dundee, N.Y. Mrs. Chidsey was President of the Dundee Rotary Club from 1995-96, and was very active in the Annual Rotary Shows. As a former owner of Dundee Lanes Cindy painstakingly restored it to become a central gathering place for the members of the community she loved. After leaving the Lanes she and her husband, "Sarge", began a venture with Mugshots, a t-shirt business at The Windmill where they operated for many seasons.
Cindy was devoted to providing support to the people in her community no
matter where she lived, acting most recently as the current Pastor of the
Beaver Dams United Methodist Church in Beaver Dams, N.Y.
She is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kimberley A. Boisen (nee Coklyat); her husband Hans; and three grandchildren, Samantha L., Bradley R., and Zachary D. Boisen all of Rome, N.Y.; two brothers, Richard and Patricia Hill of Hopatcong, N.J., and James and Kitt Allen Hill of Jersey City, N.J., along with several nieces, nephews, and step children whom she loved as her own.
She was predeceased by her second husband Bruce W. "Sarge" Chidsey on March 14, 2006.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, N.Y. Online condolences can be sent by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Rosalie Slater and other
