VENICE CENTER | Margery C. Rejman, 84, of Route 34, Venice Center, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Auburn Community Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Rejman was born Sept. 25, 1928 in Genoa, a daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Landon) Whiting, and was a lifelong southern Cayuga County resident. Margery was employed for 33 years as a bus driver for the Southern Cayuga Central School District, before retiring in 1999. She also assisted her former husband in operating a family farm for many years. Hosting all of her family's Christmas dinners, playing “card-shark," assembling countless jigsaw puzzles, being an avid novel reader, and spoiling her grandchildren, were among the many enjoyments in Margery's life. She had bowled in several women's leagues at King Ferry Lanes in her earlier years, and she also loved to socialize at area SCCS retiree luncheons. Margery is survived by her three sons, Peter (Dawn), Fred (Colleen) and David Rejman, all of Venice Center; her two daughters, Laurie Purdy (David), of Moravia and Mary Meyer (Stephen), of Orchard Park; a daughter-in-law, Connie Rejman, of Venice Center; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brother-in-laws, Anthony Rejman, of Fleming and Hank Rejman, of Venice Center; a sister-in-law, Mary Kulis (Stanley), of Venice Center and by many other extended family members. She was predeceased by a son, Clarence “Gil� Rejman and by her former husband and father of her children, Stanley Rejman. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the United Church of Genoa. Interment will be in Venice Rural Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 Route 90, Genoa.
