Rosalie L. Snyder PALMYRA Rosalie L. Snyder died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the age of 89. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 11 a.m. at Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra. Rose was born on Oct. 15, 1923, in Clifton Springs and was the daughter of Aloes and Mary VanOpdorp Schroo. Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, canning, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. Rose was voted "Best Pie Maker" by her friends and family. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Snyder; daughter, Judith Jacobs; sisters, Alice Compson, Margerite Eddington and Emma Schroo; and brother, Lawrence Schroo. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (John) Braun; sons, Lawrence Jr. (Judith), John (Karen), James (Sandy), Thomas (Anne) and Joseph Snyder; 25 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
