SHORTSVILLE - 1929 - 2012 Catherine "Kay" Buttaccio, 83, died (November 5, 2012) at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua.
Friends may call on Friday (November 9) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory can be made to the Red Jacket Community Library, 7 Lehigh Avenue, Shortsville, NY 14548.
Catherine trained as a Beauty Cosmetologist, and operated a salon for over fifteen years. She enjoyed membership in the Eastern Star of Palmyra and Port Gibson Ladies Auxiliary. Catherine enjoyed a life-long love of reading, sewing, and crafts.
She is survived by her seven children, Ralph Jr. (Roxanne) Buttaccio, Robin Hilburn, Michael (Mary) Buttaccio, Beth Buttaccio, Patrick (Pattiey) Buttaccio, Jeffery (Kathy) Buttaccio, and Jamie Ann (George) Hotchkiss; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernadine Hutter of Palmyra and Joyce
Fouquet of Spencerport; and life-long friends, Vera Allen of Penn Yan and MaryLou Holmes of Rochester.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Ralph Buttaccio Sr.
