Penn Yan - Janet P. Fritz, age 78, passed away Sunday (Oct. 28, 2012), surrounded by her loving family.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday (Nov. 3) at 1 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Janet was the daughter of the late Lynn and Carla Christensen Ross. On Jan. 27, 1951, she married Paul "Don" Fritz. Janet was a full-time homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends, and especially enjoyed the Wednesday Morning Social Club in Canandaigua. An animal lover, she also enjoyed shopping.
Janet is survived by her husband of 61 years, "Don" Fritz, Sr.; four children, Paul Donald "Joe" (Carol) Fritz, Jr. of Fla., Patricia (Dale) Stahlman of Penn Yan, Roger (Catherine) Fritz of Bellona, and Karl (Dort Amidon) Fritz of Penn Yan; Michael's fiancée, Phyllis Ender of N.H.; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Janet was pre-deceased by one son, Michael Fritz, in 2011.
