PENN YAN - Rachel A. Fingar, 82, of Skyline Drive, Penn Yan, passed away at the Penn Yan Manor, Saturday (October 6) surrounded by her family.
Calling hours and funeral services for Rachel will be held on Wednesday (October 10) from 11 to 1 with services at 1 p.m. at Weldon Funeral Home. Burial will be in Branchport Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Bluff Point Methodist Church of Alzheimer's Association .
Rachel was born May 24, 1930 the daughter of Howard and Genevieve Hopkins Coates.
She is survived by sons, Doug (Terry) Fingar of Penn Yan, David Fingar of Penn Yan; a daughter, Patricia (Philip) Strong of Penn Yan; right grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, Pauline Lane of Penn Yan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norman, in 2008; a brother, Robert Coates; and a sister, Olive Folts.
