Joan Clark Bartlett NAPLES Joan Clark Bartlett, age 85, passed away on June 17, 2014. Joan was born in Summit, N.J. She graduated from Wells College in 1951. She was an avid birder, weaver, reader and nature lover. Joan was instrumental in founding the Cape Hatteras Bird Club while residing there in the 1980s, as well as the Weavers and Spinners Guild of Naples while residing in the town of South Bristol. Joan leaves behind a vast network of friends and associates who will miss her open heart, ready wit and many kindnesses and acts of love. She was predeceased by her son, Peter Alan Bartlett; and sisters-in-law, Doris Gibbs and Anna Clark. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jack Bartlett; daughters, Anne Clark Bartlett of Chicago, Ill., and Carol McLeod McElwain of Naples; brother, Kenneth Raymond Clark; niece, Susan Clark; nephew, Kenneth Clark; grandchildren, Erin and Luke McElwain; and Bassett Hound, Chaz.
