James V. "Jim" Klock, 78, of the Boyle Center, Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at Auburn Community Hospital.
Jim was born Feb. 5, 1935 in Auburn, the son of the late Vincent P. and Louise Jenner Klock. He was employed in sales by various companies throughout his life. Jim was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the New York Yankees, Syracuse University sports, and most of all, his sons' and grandchildren’s' events. He enjoyed traveling and sharing his stories with those he loved.
Jim is survived by his three sons, Vincent J. Klock and his wife, Dr. Theresa Casper-Klock, Nicholas J. Klock and his wife, Gina (Price) Klock, and John E. Klock and his wife, Tracey (Lupo) Klock; his grandchildren, Andrew Klock, Peter Klock, Eric Klock, Cynthia Klock, Nicholas Klock, Cody Lupo, Vassianna Klock, and Thomas Klock; his sister, Margery K. Connell, and brother, Ronald (Carol) Klock, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his loving wife of 18 years, Vicky Sarantoulias Klock.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Clark Street, Auburn, with Fr. Conboy officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
