Donald C. Wager, 73, of Auburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Auburn Community Hospital. Don was born in Auburn, the son of the late Betty J. Miller Wager and Clifford J. Wager. He attended West High School before entering into the United States Navy. Don was an owner and operator of Brake X Change as a mechanic for many years. Don enjoyed working on rebuilding race cars, bowling at Cayuga Lanes and Polish Falcons, and just spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Roof Wager, of Auburn; two daughters, Jessica McNabb and her fiancé, James Parker, of Auburn, and Anna Wager, of Auburn; sister, Suzanne Wager MacKenzie and Jack, of Auburn; grandchild, Aaron M. McNabb, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his two brothers, Gary A. Wager and Robert Lee Wager.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
