Terrence Breslin, 60, formerly of Geneva, passed away on Thursday (November 7, 2013) in his home in Newfield, N.Y. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., on Tuesday (November 12, 2013), from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas P. Mull officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Finger Lakes Re-Use Center, 2255 N. Triphammer Rd., Ithaca, N.Y. 14850.
Terry was born in Geneva and has resided in this area for many years. He was the son of the late Robert and Patricia Gleason Breslin. He was a graduate of Geneva High School and was employed at the Finger Lakes Re-Use Center in Ithaca.
He is survived by his son, Mark Breslin of Newfield; his daughter, Jacqueline Krause of Fla.; his sisters, Maureen (Francis) Wright of Annapolis, Md., and Paulette (Dennis) Gorman of Fayetteville, N.Y.; his brothers, Gregory (Jean) Breslin of Fla., Michael (Becky) Breslin of Ga., Patrick (Lisa) Breslin of Calif., and Martin (Jennifer) Breslin of NYC; 4 grandchildren, Zoe, Maximus, Ethan, and Xander; his former wife, Valarie Belengia of Fla.; and his special friend, Diane Cohen of Ithaca; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Breslin.
