Clifton Springs - Albert L. Hoven, age 84, of Hibbard Ave., passed away on Saturday (Aug. 24, 2013) with his loving family by his side.
Friends may call Thursday (Aug. 29 ) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 West Main Street, Clifton Springs. A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 30) at St. Felix Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Albert was born August 26, 1928 in Phelps, NY, the son of the late Achiel and Mary Hoven. He was a graduate of Clifton Springs High School. He was the manager of Agway dry bean and export division in Canandaigua. Albert was a member of St. Felix Church. He served as a board member of the Town of Manchester and on the Town of Manchester Grievance Board. Albert was a member of the Clif ton Springs Conservation Club, Pavilion volunteer fire department, Avon fish and wildlife Council, and he was a past leader of the Plainville 4H Club. Albert was an avid euchre player and enjoyed watching Midlakes basketball. But most of all family was important to Albert. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Albert is survived by is loving wife of 63 years, Clara; children, Gary (Debbie) Hoven of Canandaigua, Donald (Sylvia Monroe) Hoven of Shortsville, Chris (Liz) Hoven of Clifton Springs and Kathleen Hoven of Clifton Springs; grandchildren, Brian Hoven, Justin (Jocelyn) Hoven, Morgan Hoven, Aaron Hoven, Mackenzie Hoven, Daniel Jones, Evan Jones, Rachel Jones and Kara Jones; sisters, Marie Lohman of Clifton Springs and Sidonie Hoven of Kansas; many nieces and nephews.
Albert is predeceased by his brother, Camiel Hoven, sisters; Madeline Sheehan and Shirley Ann Kloepfel.
