OVID - Robert O. Dufour, age 72, of Hayts Corners Road, died on Sunday (July 14, 2013) at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, following a recent cancer diagnosis. His wife will be hosting friends and family on Sunday (July 28th) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at their restaurant, "Tastes of Wine Country Café" at 1859 State Route 96A in Ovid. www.tastesofwinecountry.com

Robert was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on November 29, 1940, a son of the late Emmanuel (Pete) and Margaret (Rita) (Burns) Dufour. Upon completion of high school in Manchester, he graduated from St. Anselm's College, and then proudly served four years in the US Air Force. His educational background placed him in various hospital settings, and he worked the last 15 years of his career as a microbiologist for the Millipore Corporation in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. He made the Finger Lakes Region his home a few years ago, and assisted his wife with a new business endeavor, the "Tastes of Wine Country Café."
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Reed-Dufour of Ovid; his children, Nicole (David Helie) Dufour of Amherst, N.H., and Anthony Dufour of Marietta, Ga.; sisters, Natalie Cuchetti of Manchester, N.H. and Linda Currier of Raymond, N.H.; the mother of his children, Michelle Pelletier of Amherst, N.H.; and an abundance of nieces, nephews and their families.
Bob was preceded in death by his brother, James Dufour.
