GENEVA - Mary Alice Lynch, 74, died peacefully on Friday (July 12, 2013) at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A Nightingale service will be held at 11:30. Private burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Geneva.

Mary Alice was born on April 22, 1939 in Geneva, N.Y. the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Drury Lynch. She was a 1956 graduate and Salutatorian of her class from DeSales High School. Mary Alice graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Rochester in 1959.
Mary Alice was an exceptional and dedicated RN at Clifton Springs Hospital from where she retired. She was caring and concerned for her patients and her co-workers as well. Mary Alice worked many holidays and swing shifts so that other co-workers could spend the time with their families. She was selfless and always a true professional and will be truly missed. Mary Alice also had a love for animals especially her dogs.
She is survived by her brother John T. (Eileen) Lynch of Jamison Penn.; niece, Sharon (Wayne) Tull of Jamison Penn.; nephew, Kevin (Mindy) Lynch of Jamison Penn.; seven grandnieces and grandnephews.
