Joan Rita Willison

Webster/Lyons - Joan Rita Willison, 77, entered eternity on Sunday (June 30, 2013) at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Family and friends may call Tuesday (July 2) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (July 3) at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, Williams St. in Lyons. Burial will follow in South Lyons Cemetery.

Mrs. Willison was born the daughter of the late Alford and Frieda (Fuller) Weber on Thursday, March 5, 1936 in Rochester, N.Y. After high school and college Mrs. Willison worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She found enjoyment in playing golf, sewing and gardening. Mrs. Willison was a member of St. Michael's Church in Lyons.
Mrs. Willison will be remembered by her son James Willison of Webster; daughter Barbara (Eddie) Eaton of Lyons; son-in-law Robert Bowslaugh of Tenn.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Willison was predeceased by her husband Malvern Willison in 2008; daughter Kathleen Bowslaugh in 2012; grandson Jason Whitney in 2006; sisters Gisela Zink and Elizabeth Earls.
