INTERLAKEN - Elizabeth J. "Betty" Crane, of 3557 West Ave., Interlaken, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Sunday (June 30, 2013) at the age of 87. The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to Noon on Friday (July 5, 2013) at St. Francis Solanus Church, 3660 Orchard Street, Interlaken. A Funeral Mass will begin at noon, at the church with Father Bart Minson officiating. Prayers of committal will immediately follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery in Seneca Falls.

Betty was born in Syracuse on October 28, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Trinkhaus) Quinn. After graduating from Ovid High School, Betty went to work at the Sampson Naval Base in the photography lab. She held a position in the registrar's office at Sampson College and was a special weapons supervisor of classified documents at the Seneca Ordinance. After marrying Merwyn Crane in 1963, Betty became the office clerk at Vance Crane and Son home appliance store in Interlaken. Betty was a faithful parishioner of the St. Francis Solanus Church and enjoyed scrap booking, photography, genealogy, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by five children, Merwyn "Gene" Crane, Annette (Bill) Reagan, Phyllis (Jim) Hagen, Marilyn (John) Nihill, and Steven (Karen) Crane Sr.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Merwyn Crane; and a brother, Jack Quinn.
