Jeanne Sheavly Loving wife, mother, grandmother CANANDAIGUA - Jeanne (Spring) Sheavly, age 83, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at F.F. Thompson Hospital, after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas E. Sheavly; three children, David (Ginger) Sheavly of Medina, Ohio, Jan (Keith) Harter of Canandaigua and Scott (Marcia) Sheavly of Trumansburg; six grandchildren, Brian (Kerry) Harter of Miami, Fla., Melanie (Alan) Greene of Concord, N.C., Eric Harter of Canandaigua, Stephanie (Ed) Mack of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jacob Sheavly of Los Angeles, Calif. and Will Sheavly of Trumansburg; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Greene; identical twin sister, Mary Lou Worrall of Ridgefield, Conn.; brother-in-law, William Sheavly of Westminster, Md.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Sheavly was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and was the daughter of Laurence and Emma (Colfax) Spring. She retired from Cornell Cooperative Extension in 1987, after many years there. Mrs. Sheavly was a member of First Congregational Church, Canandaigua Country Club and charter member of the Shuffler's Club. She enjoyed bridge, golf and spending time with her family. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m., at First Congregational Church, 58 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, Historic Building Preservation Fund, 58 N.
