Herbert Halmon Cooper, 79, passed away on Fri. (May 10, 2013), at Geneva General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tues. (May 14), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with full military honors.
Herbert was born on Oct. 6, 1933 in Sanford, Fla. and was a son of the late Lawrence and Hattie (Templeton) Cooper. He was an avid truck driver, employed by Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls for 27 years and retired from Fratto Granite after 15 years. Herbert was a former member of the American Legion and VFW in Geneva. He had a great love for his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bernan 'Fronnie' Cooper of Geneva; daughters, Vernan (Blondie) Class Walker of Texas, Teresa (Charles) Braman of Geneva, Zell (Gilbert) Ellis of Geneva and Renae (Gregory) Brewer/Cooper of Fla.; brother, Defredie Cooper of Sanford, Fla.; sisters, Florence Edwards of Sanford, Fla. and Zillersteen Bellomy of Sanford, Fla.; grandchildren, Dana, Albert, Alan, Jason and Gregory; a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Herbert was predeceased by his son, Herbert H. Cooper, Jr. and brother, Lawrence Cooper, Sr.
