Margaret M. "Maggie" Hoadley, 64, of Petre Drive, Auburn, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, April 26, 2013. Born in Cortland, she was the daughter of the late James Edward West and Susan Turney West. Margaret was a graduate of Cayuga Community College and she started and ran the family business, Hoadley Plumbing, with her husband, since 1972. Margaret cherished her time that was spent with her family especially with her two grandsons, Jack and Chase. She had a love for Owasco Lake and enjoyed traveling with her late husband. She was a communicant of Sacred heart Church. She is survived by her two sons Daniel Hoadley, and Matthew Hoadley and his wife, Kate, all of Auburn; a brother, Francis â€œDutchâ€? West and his wife, Elizabeth (Betty), of Cortland; two sisters-in-law, Johanne and Bette West; two grandsons, Jack Thomas and Chase Matthew Hoadley; several special nieces, nephews and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Thomas M. Hoadley in 2003; sister, Susan (West) Clark; and brothers, William, Robert, Joseph (Johanne), Patrick, and Thomas (Bette) West. Friends are invited to visit the family 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Margaret's memory to the Fleming Fire Department No. 1, 6063 West Lake Road, Auburn, NY 13021 or the National Breast Cancer Foundation, or monetary or food donations to The Food Pantry c/o Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Road, Auburn, NY 13021.
