Mary K. Winter
CLYDE/SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mary K. Winter, 91, of 367 Glasgow St., Clyde, died peacefully on Sunday at the Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (April 26th) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Baris Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial in her memory will be celebrated on Saturday (April 27th) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Savannah, N.Y. Fr. Augustine Chumo will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Cemetery, Rose, N.Y.
Memorial contributions to the St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry, Grand Ave., Savannah, N.Y. would be appreciated.
Mrs. Winter was born on March 30, 1922 in Willard, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Trost Buettner. On March 27, 1943 she married the late Wilfred Winter. He pre-deceased her on January 13, 1986. Mary was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America (Gleason Court), and the Altar and Rosary Societies of St. Patrick's Church. She was also a former religious education teacher, and had volunteered many hours with the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mary was well known in the community as a volunteer....no matter the cause, she was there to lend a helping hand.
Surviving are her three sons and their wives; Richard (Marlene) Winter of Dryden; Paul (Donna) Winter of Savannah and Robert (Terri) Winter of Sodus; her seven grandchildren, Darryl, Brian, Jill, Michael, Jonathan, Benjamin and Cathy; her seven great-grandchildren, Caitlin, David, Sarah, Grace; Rachel, Brittany and Gavin; her sisters, Margaret Lacz of Savan nah; Anne Ball of Savan nah, Agnes Arliss of Sa vannah, Patricia (Ralph) Stevens of Savannah; her brother Joseph Buettner of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter-in-law Nancy Winter of Altamont Springs, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Besides her parents and husband she was pre-deceased by her son Edward Winter in 2006.
