JORDAN | Jerome Joseph "Jerry" DeJoy, 66, of Peru Road, Jordan, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse. Born Aug. 23, 1946 in Auburn, Jerry was the son of the late Joseph and Stella Skowron DeJoy. He was employed for more than 40 years as a parts manager at various Ford dealerships in the area, including, Pirro, Backus, and H&L Ford. A communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, he was a former member of the rifle club in high school; he enjoyed camping and bowling. Mostly Jerry enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna Marie Ignaszewski DeJoy; two sons, Marc J. DeJoy and his wife, Seema, of Liverpool, and their children, Joshua and Maya, and Timothy J. DeJoy and his wife, Shelly, of Warners, and their children, Emily and Allison; a sister, Theresa (David) Suslik, of Elbridge and a brother, Frank DeJoy, of Union Springs. Saturday, April 27, 2013 would have been the 45th wedding anniversary for Jerry and his wife, Donna. Saturday will be the day that his family celebrates his life with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. To honor Jerry's last wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn.
