LODI - Mary Riley, age 53, died at Highland Hospital in Rochester this past Sunday (April 14) at approximately 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday (April 19) at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street in Ovid. A Memorial Service will then follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Diane Walker officiating. All family and friends are welcome.

Mary was born to Judith and James N. Gaudette on October 25, 1959. A graduate of South Seneca class of 1977. Mary was one of the original Peppers (a cheerleading squad for the wrestlers). Mary was a seamstress by trade for much of her career. Mary delivered meals for Office of the Aging and worked in food service at Willard Psychiatric Center. She had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and had taken in several strays in order to prolong their lives and give them a loving home. Mary also liked fish, having 2 for more than 5 years. She also enjoyed being outside watching birds on occasion. Mary was a loving mother and a long time resident of the community with her home being in Lodi, N.Y. Appreciated for her realistic viewpoints on topics major and minor, her sense of humor and presence are missed.
She is survived by her children, Erin Judith Riley-Khan of Farmington, N.Y.; her son, Glendon James Riley of Lodi, N.Y.; her grandson, Alexander Rojas; her parents James and Judith Gaudette of Ovid, N.Y.; and a brother James M. (Melissa) Gaudette; and a nephew, Ian, all of Coxsackie, N.Y.
