Betty J. VanSickle God, please take me home STANLEY - Betty J. VanSickle, age 90, of Yautzy Road, died on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at her home. Friends may call on Thursday, April 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice . Betty worked in the gift shop at Wayne Drugs in Canandaigua for 50 years and at Lown's Department Store in Penn Yan for 10 years. She enjoyed ordering and arranging the products at both stores. She and her late husband, Roy VanSickle, enjoyed dancing and card club. Betty was a collector of Christmas decorations and enjoyed the holiday season. She also enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Betty had crocheted afghans for all 31 of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by one daughter, Darlene Schwartz; one son, Rick (Anne) Mitchell; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Roy Van Sickle in 2011. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Lee and Doris Hurlbutt; and two brothers, George LaDue and William LaDue.
