CLYDE - Robert D. Stein, age 84 of Clyde, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday (March 27, 2013).
Calling hours will be at Pusateri-Canolesio Funeral Home, 68 Sodus St., Clyde on Tuesday (April 2) from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be observed on Wednesday (April 3) at 9 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 114 Sodus St., Clyde.
Memorials may be made to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester 14626.
Bob was born on October 10, 1928 in Utica, N.Y., the son of George F. Stein and Ida Geer Stein. He was a seven year veteran of the Navy SEABEES serving in Attu, Aleutian Islands and Naval Station in Guam from January 1947-March 1954. He was part owner of Stein and Frendenall Mobile Service in Clyde from 1958-1966. He was employed at Parker Aerospace in Clyde as a Mfg. Supervisor and Quality Assurance Supervisor where he retired in 1991.
Bob is survived by his loving and caring wife and soul mate, Vivian Kashola Stein; daughters, Linda (Dan) Mullin of Galveston, Texas, Loretta (Robert) Meeker of Garner, N.C.; son, John J. of Marion, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Deborah (Dean) Hubright of Newark, Frankie Leigh Taylor (SueAnne Garder) of South Sodus; several nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great- grandchildren; close neighbors, Deb Hamilton, Chuck and Norma Selvek and Lorna and George Brockmyer; his three beloved cats, Digger Do, Boo Bear and Bear Bear and his beloved canine friend Pomeranian Honey Bear.
He was predeceased by his mother in 1946, father in 1989, son Bob in 1990, brother Donald in 1999, stepmother Elizabeth (Vail) Stein in 2008 and stepdaughter, Missy in 2013.
