Auburn Police Arrest Three in Attempted Burglary

An attempted burglary of a home in Auburn led police to arresting three people. Police say they received a walk-in report of a burglary Tuesday night on Elizabeth Street. Around the time cops arrived, 911 received a call about three people trying to break into the same home. Two people, a 17-year-old and 18-year-old, were arrested as they were trying to escape.

Police say the third suspect, 41-year-old John Welsh, was nabbed a little while later in a car, which reportedly was seen in the area of the alleged burglary attempt. All three are charged with attempted burglary, conspiracy, and possession of burglar tools.
