Maple Syrup Production Increases in New York

New York is seeing more maple syrup being produced this year over last year. The USDA says production in the Empire State is up 59 percent from 2012. Production has jumped to 574 thousand gallons over about 360 thousand gallons produced one year ago. New York is second only to Vermont in maple syrup production. The USDA says every state saw a rise in production in 2013.
