Threat Against Keuka College; FBI Summoned

The Yates County Sheriff's Office Nixle Alert program delivered the following information to its subscribers Monday afternoon regarding a note found at Keuka College:

"The Keuka College NMS Campus Safety Office has information, originating from a handwritten note left in a restroom stall at Space Hall that poses a potential threat of revenge against Keuka College.

The message follows:

"One day I will get my revenge on this College. When I'm done everyone will know where Keuka College is."

We are taking this information seriously and will continue to aggressively investigate. We have notified the Yates County Sheriff’s office and The Federal Bureau of Investigation.

This information is being sent so that the college community is aware and to ask your assistance in reporting any knowledge of this incident.

We are taking this opportunity to remind everyone: If you See Something, Say Something -- dial 9-1-1 in an emergency. To reach the Campus Security non-emergency line call (315) 279-5250."

The campus has NOT been placed on any type of lockdown. We will continue to follow this developing story.
