Reed Explains Voting Against Ending Government Shutdown

Congressman Tom Reed was one of the 144 lawmakers that voted against the Senate bill to reopen Washington Wednesday night.  He explained the reason behind his no vote Thursday afternoon.

Reed reacted to President Obama saying Thursday, "How business is done in this town (Washington, D.C.) has to change."

Reed said he will continue to offer his "Honest Proposal” a bill that he has received support from both House Republicans and Democrats. The bill would tie the budget and debt limit to sequestration, tax reform and entitlement reform.
