Deal Being Sought in Arias Case Involving Bath Man

Lawyers in the case against a Bath man indicted in Arizona on charges he made Twitter death threats against two national TV commentators over their coverage of the Jodi Arias trial have been ordered to try and reach a deal by next month.

David Lee Simpson appeared in court Wednesday. He faces five felony counts related to Twitter threats against Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell, hosts on Turner Broadcasting's HLN network who covered Arias' murder trial in Phoenix. The 48-year-old also threatened an Arizona woman. Simpson has pleaded not guilty.

A trial is set to begin November 21st if both sides are unable to reach a deal.
