Wear Purple Day Being Honored Today in Auburn

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The people of Auburn are invited to show solidarity today with victims of domestic violence. Patty Pysnack-Weaver is the Domestic Violence Services Coordinator with the Cayuga-Seneca Community Action Agency, and she tells Finger Lakes News Radio today is a day to wear purple.

The ceremony will take only fifteen minutes, but will include a number of speakers.

Wear Purple Day will take place on the front steps of the Cayuga County Courthouse at noon.
