Dump Truck Accident Cuts Power in Montour Falls

A crash involving a dump truck at the intersection of North Genesee and Steuben Streets in the village of Montour Falls Thursday resulted in a power outage for nearby residents.

The truck flipped at the bottom of the hill and the unidentified driver was ejected through the windshield. Investigators say that driver was not injured.  The truck was carrying a load of asphalt, which spilled onto the road and into the basement of a nearby home, which has been condemned.

Steuben Street is expected to remain closed from Mill to North Genesee Streets through this morning.
