Geneva Stabbing Suspect Surrenders

A man being sought for a March double stabbing near a downtown Geneva Bar has surrendered. Police Lt. Eric Heieck says 30-year old John W. Mccoogle of Geneva gave up in Rochester Monday afternoon without incident.

The grand jury indicted McCoogle in early spring charging him with first and second degree Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned with no Bail Set. The stabbings happened on March 17th near  Trotta’s Bar on Castle as the two victims were attempting to break up a fight that started inside the bar.  Both of those men have been recovering from their injuries
