Event posters can be spotted all over Ontario and Yates Counties urging people to attend the Adam Chase Memorial Benefit BBQ Saturday at the Gorham Firehouse. Chase died after being allegedly pushed down a flight of stairs by his wife Rose during an argument in June 2012. She goes to trial for second degree murder next month.
One of the benefits organizers is Rodney Miller is the private detective who helped break the case. He tells Finger Lakes News Radio it's been a struggle for Adam's family financially and emotionally, so he hopes this benefit can help.
The BBQ is from 11 to 4 at Gorham Fire House. If you can't make it you can send a check to the Community Bank branch in Rushville at PO BOX 67, Rushville New York 14544.
