Waterloo Community Garden Blooming

Now it's time to enjoy the bounty. The Waterloo Community Garden at the corners of Swift Street and E. Wright Ave., behind Lake Country Christian Church and the water tower, needs volunteers to harvest the produce and take care of the plot through the end of the season. Garden Manager Jennifer Dressing tells us a project like this draws people from all over the village who are interested in fresh food.

They have summer squash, cucumbers, eggplant, 4 different kinds of peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, herbs, and some tomatoes.  As the need arises they will use more of the parcel.

You can reach Dressing at (315) 220-8127 to volunteer.
