Trumansburg Fire Caused by Bathroom Fan

Investigators say the fire that caused heavy damage to an historic Trumansburg home early Wednesday was caused by a bathroom vent fan that had been left running for several days. The fire broke out just before 5AM Wednesday at 68 South Street. It took firefighters about four hours to get the flames under control. They say they were hampered by the gabled design of the home, which was built in the mid-1800s.
