Auburn Residents Angry Over Presidential Snub

A number of Auburn residents are angry at what they see as a snub. President Obama stayed overnight at the Auburn Holiday Inn Thursday, and the speculation was he would visit the Harriet Tubman Home and/or the Seward House. Instead, he worked out and played some basketball at the YMCA, then left for the next stop on his bus tour, Binghamton. He did stop along the way to visit soccer practice at Tully High School.

Local officials say there was never any commitment from the White House that Mr. Obama would visit either location. The President later spoke at Binghamton University and Lackawanna College in Pennsylvania.
