The Geneva Historical Society has closed Balmanno Cottage. The last public tours of the historic gothic cottage on South Main Street were yesterday afternoon. The Society board voted to sell the building in May. It's been listed with a local realtor at 375 thousand dollars. Some historic items from the cottage will be moved to the Society's Prouty-Chew House, also on South Main Street. The cottage was given to the Society by Blanchard Walker Bartlett when she died in 1997.
