Mosquito-Related Illinesses Intensifying in Central NY

The Cayuga County Health Department wants to remind you that mosquitos are still buzzing around, and they want you to continue being careful. In a news release, officials say illnesses related to mosquito bites increase in late summer around Central New York. If you're spending time outdoors, especially during this stretch of supremely enjoyable and pleasant weather, health officials say use insect repellant, shorten your time outside in areas where mosquitos are heavily active, and wear long-sleeve shirts and pants.
