Robertson-Reed Differ on Cayuga Power Plant Future

Could there be an alternative to repowering the coal fired power plant in Lansing?  Tompkins County Legislature Chair Martha Robertson believes the use of bio mass could be the answer.

Robertson presented her proposal during a Public Service Commission hearing held in Lansing this week.  Robertson has announced she is running for the Congressional seat now held by Tom Reed.  The Corning Republican has come out in support of repowering both the Cayuga Power Plant by converting the facility from coal to natural gas.
