The Auburn Doubledays are helping put together a fundraiser to help a four year old girl, who's father was killed earlier this year in Afghanistan. All money raised for Sophia Phillips will go toward a college fund established in her name, or a fund to buy a home if she chooses not to pursue higher education. Shane Truman with the Doubledays tells us how you can donate to that scholarship set up during a game next Thursday at Falcon Park in Auburn.
Staff Sergeant Francis Phillips was killed on May 4th in a roadside bombing. His mother Cherie says you can also stop into a local credit union to donate.
Mrs. Phillips and Truman were guests on the Finger Lakes Morning News. Listen to the full interview here.
