Ontario County Board Table Vote to Sell Nursing Home

The Ontario County Board of Supervisors need more time to evaluate the situation.  Hopewell Town Supervisor Margaret Hilton called to postpone the vote on the decision to sell the county nursing home.  The Health and Medical Services Committee is recommended the home be sold for two million dollars to The Centers for Specialty Care Group, which runs health care facilities throughout the state.  The committee rejected a higher bid from a Long Island firm, at two-point-seven million dollars, saying The Centers two million dollar bid met or exceeded all the stated bid requirements.  Tabling the vote also allows time for more public input.
