Backpack Program in Seneca Falls Receives Donation

The Seneca Falls Backpack Program will be able to feed 8 more children with the receipt of a $1000.00 grant from the Galasso Foundation. This grant and any privately donated funds are used exclusively to buy food bags for food-insecure children in the Seneca Falls School District.

The backpack program's goal by sending weekly bags of kid-friendly, nutricious food home is to supplement their diet and relieve any hunger needs of children in the community.

This school year the program provided food bags to 102 children at a cost of $120.00 per child. These costs are covered by generous donations from various organizations like the Galasso Foundation, and individuals in our community.
