UPDATE 5pm - Seneca County Sheriff's Deputies continue to investigate what they are calling "probable homicide" in the town of Waterloo.

Seneca County 911 received a call at 2:48am Sunday reporting the shooting at 827 Hecker Road.  First reports said the man was shot twice in the stomach. The 61-year-old man died at Geneva General Hospital.

During the earlier stages of the police investigation it was thought the shooter entered the home through a back door, but family members of the deceased tell Finger Lakes News Radio that the victim was shot through a window.

Finger Lakes News Radio and Finger Lakes Daily News are withholding the name of the victim, until it's released by police.

Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenburg says it was not a random shooting, and neighbors should not worry about being in any danger. No suspects are in custody.

"So as far as people in the neighborhood being afraid, I would tell people that there's no reason to think anyone else would be in danger at this point." - See more at: http://fingerlakes.ynn.com/content/top_stories/670395/police-investigate-homicide-in-waterloo/#sthash.FKznD1vr.dpuf

A State Police all-points-bulletin broadcast early Sunday reported the shooting could be drug related.

Investigators left the scene early this afternoon.  The home-a trailer withan addition built onto the front- remains a crime scene roped off by yellow police tape and watched over by a Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy parked in the driveway.
