Bikers 4 Bridget Motorcycle Event Today

Bikers have a chance to support victims of domestic violence today as well as honor a 29-year-old Auburn woman who was murdered by the father of her child.

Starting at 10 a.m. motorcyclists are invited to meet at the SK Post 1324, 168 State St., Auburn, to participate in Bikers 4 Bridget.

Participants enjoying the second-annual ride will travel south to Moravia before driving back up north to Auburn, where riders will meet at Big Kahunas for a barbecue.

Tickets for Bikers 4 Bridget cost $25 per biker and $15 per rider. A T-shirt and the chicken dinner are included in the price.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Cayuga Seneca Community Action Agency's Domestic Violence Intervention Program.

Bridget Bell was murdered on Nov. 21, 2011 and her former boyfriend was sentenced to spend 54 years to life in prison.
