Deliberations resumed at 9:30 this morning in the murder trial of Alice Trappler and a verdict was reached in a half-hour's time.
Jurors found the 41 year old Addison woman guilty of two counts each of second-degree murder and burglary, and one count conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree. Trappler was convicted of enlisting her former husband to kill 30-year-old Daniel Bennett, with whom Trappler had a daughter. The couple split before Trappler gave birth.
Trappler’s ex-husband, Thomas Borden, shot and killed Bennett during the overnight hours of April 19, 2012, at the Town of Dix home Bennett shared with his father.
Trappler faces 25 years to life in prison when sentenced July 11th
